Andy St. John, has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification and is with Validus Financial Associates. As a full time ASU student, Andy also worked full time as assistant superintendent for a custom home builder in Paradise Valley AZ. He started his financial planning career with AXA Advisors after graduating from Arizona State University with bachelors of Science in Global Business in 2008. Andy spent two years of his financial planning career helping a Certified Public Accounting firm in Scottsdale Arizona develop their financial planning practice. Andy gained valuable experience coordinating tax reduction strategies with financial planning techniques.

As Assistant Agency Manager of the Southwest Branch from 2012 to 2016 Andy administered the new advisor training and development program for Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.

As part of the advanced case design team for the Southwest Branch; Andy developed skills in highly technical insurance-based solutions, estate planning, portfolio management programs and retirement cash flow analysis. He assisted advisors within the Southwest Branch analyze complex client situations and provide creative solutions to their clients. Andy believes a team approach to financial planning cultivates better ideas, better communication and ultimately empowers clients and gives them the tools and knowledge to make the appropriate decisions for themselves and their families throughout all stages of life.

Andy and his wife Amber live in Scottsdale AZ with their two sons, Jackson and Lincoln. If he isn’t tinkering in the garage or taking his family on a new adventure he is volunteering for the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society. Andy is an avid outdoorsman who loves to spend his weekends taking his family and friends camping, hunting or fishing.

Andy holds his Series 7 and Series 66 registrations and his Life and Health Licenses and has obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional certification.
